ISSEMEとオンラインセミナー

International Society for Anglo-Saxonists が時代の変化を受けて、ISSEME （International Society for the Study of Early Medieval England) と名称を改め、さまざまな形でオープンアクセスの活動を行っています。機関紙も近くオンラインへの移行が進みそうです。

“Bridging cultures by teaching linguistic medievalism” – Gabriele Knappe（2022年12月）（Neo-Old Englishという概念が紹介されています。古英語は現代英語とは相当の乖離がありますので、英語の母語話者であっても特別のトレーニングがなければ理解できないと思っていましたが、今後はメディアの力を借りながら、これまでよりも広く受け要られるものになっていくかもしれないという直観を得ました。）
