英語学関連の記念論文集

2002年に、田島松二先生（九州大学名誉教授）の還暦をお祝いするために編纂した論文集です。九州大学時代の研究指導、カナダで留学の際のご友人、その後の国際交流の中で培われた研究者のネットワーク等を通して多数の方々からご寄稿をいただきました。田島先生の古くからのご友人であるE. F. K. Koerner先生には、巻頭に田島先生の紹介を書いていただくとともに、本書の編集にあたっても、さまざまなご助言をいただきました。

大橋浩・久保智之・西岡宣明・宗正佳啓・村尾治彦（編）『ことばとこころの探求』（開拓社, 2012）
九州大学名誉教授で、日本英語学会会長もつとめられた稲田俊明先生のご退職をお祝いして編纂された記念論文集です。生成文法を専門とする研究者も多数育成されましたが、大江三郎先生の研究指導を受けた学生を引き続いてご指導されたことから、認知言語学、語法研究、コーパス言語学等の多様の分野の研究者が育っています。私のように英語史を専門分野とする研究者もいます。本書には、30名の英語学研究者がそれぞれの専門分野についての論考を寄稿しました。
